As time passes, the hurt from a loss is still painful to families and individuals that have lost a loved one. Time is not always a solution, nor an answer to grief. During the period when a death is experienced, it can be overwhelming for many people to cope with. After all, death is still something that many are afraid to talk about. In many cases, not talking about it or dealing directly with a death gives some distance to the pain. Then again, that is not the case for everyone.

For some people, letting go is impossible. There is a saying in the cremation business, “cremation gives room to procrastination”. After cremation services are completed there are a few options: scatter at sea or somewhere sentimental, burial or interment in a mausoleum or many families opt to retain the cremated remains at home for personal comfort. In some cases, cremated remains will sit for years within the dark edges of closets and other stow away areas.

Unfortunately, many individuals that retain the cremated remains don’t generally have a long term plan. Let’s not forget, we all shall pass. Then what? Since #cremation has grown in popularity, the more often cremated remains are being left behind for other families to deal with. Imagine, grandma passed away 25 plus years ago when you were a baby. Then, your parents pass away. Upon cleaning up the home, you now find grandma hidden and you had no idea that she was still with the family! What are you going to do? The guilt sets in. So does the confusion. But, you still don’t know what to do because you are dealing with a separate loss and the stress of an estate and other matters. You really didn’t know grandma, you were just a child when she passed. The family rarely spoke of her since it’s been so many years. Now, you find yourself entangled in a guilt riddle of what to do? What are your options? Well, some were mentioned above! But what ever you choose, it is encouraged to make a permanent choice. Learn more and visit our website today.
